CLASSIFICATION, FIBER TESTING & SPOT QUOTATIONS
Adopted at the SCA 95th Annual Meeting
Chickasaw Country Club, Memphis, Tennessee – April 13, 2010

1. Urge members to report Spot Quotations to the AMS Cotton Division with a target rate of a minimum of 50% of the crop to achieve proper loan differences in future years and request members not reporting to do so. Further, members are encouraged to include grade, staple, and micronaire premiums and discounts.

2. Request the USDA to create a simple standardized basis sheet Form in (XML) format for members to report weekly trades to include a general buying basis for cash trades.

3. We recommend that USDA require ginners to identify harvesting methods.

4. Urge the USDA to continue monitoring the measurement and narrowing the range HVI % trash measurement with the corresponding classer leaf grade.

5. Recommend that the USDA over write the Original Class with the Cert re-class in the Form 1 Database.
